B-17 Flying Fortress

The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was the first mass-produced, four-engine heavy bomber. It is still one of the most recognised aeroplanes ever built. It was most widely used for daylight strategic bombings of German industrial targets during World War II as part of the United States Eighth Air Force.

I went to the last event on 09/15 and it was great. I had an awesome time. I flew R/C airplanes about 10 years ago, and after your show, I went out that Monday and bought myself an R/C plane haha. I hope to be flying at your next event!

I have been to three Warbird rallies and 3 B-17/Big Birds consecutively to date. I have to say that these are the events I wait and save for all year. My club is still growing and your fly-ins only help to excite and promote the hobby in my area. The Laredo Boys certainly look forward to seeing y'all in June. God Bless You all.

I have come to this field for like 5 years now and this time i get to bring my 1/4 scale piper super cub. It has a 1.60 twin gemini four stroke engine and is 13+ years old all orignal even the fabric covering. Some day I hope to have a field of my own and call it Lemons' field with lemon trees that grow fruit on it so we can make it at the field brewed lemonaid for the spectators! thanks again for this awesome event!

I have just had a good look at your web page and all I can say is, well done. Dale Brown and his web page said have a look and I am glad I did. I know there are one or two airfields over here that do what you do, but not on your size.

One day when I am in the U.S.A I will make a point to call down your way and have a good look around, in the mean time, just a big thank you for all the work you are putting in to it.

    Yours faithfully,
