 B-17 Flying Fortress

The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was the first mass-produced, four-engine heavy bomber. It is still one of the most recognised aeroplanes ever built. It was most widely used for daylight strategic bombings of German industrial targets during World War II as part of the United States Eighth Air Force.

    On January 4th 2007 B B. lost the love of his life of 56 years. The special moments and memories in your life will never change. They will always be in your heart, today and for evermore. She will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved her. Special thoughts and prayers to B.B. and all of the family.

    Jack (Bones) Spears

    On January 26, 2005 we lost a good friend and fellow flyer at Bomberfield. He will be greatly missed by all. Bones was always around doing what he did best and that was visiting with all the guys and keeping the field looking its best. He will be greatly missed by all.

    Carol Thomas

    This year we lost another dear friend, Carol Thomas of Hempstead, Tx. She was the secretary for 12 years. She also did all of the running of the concessions. Her help and friendship is deeply missed. Our best goes out to her husband, John.
